Welcome to Lorraine Braben Consulting

I offer consultancy services in the field of Human Factors; auditing & assessment, project management & delivery, and training & mentoring.

I can help you to understand what activities are vulnerable to human error, what can influence your performance and what steps you can take to reduce your risks.

Supporting industry to reduce the risk of human error

Managing the risk of human error requires a knowledge of Human Factors: the interaction between humans and the other elements in a system which may affect their behaviour.

Understanding human failure involves accepting that people are not infallible; they have many strengths, talents, knowledge and skills which enable them to complete highly complex activities. However, they will get it wrong sometimes.

We should also acknowledge that it is our people who keep our processes running smoothly and understanding what they actually do can help you to manage your systems more reliably and consistently.

The challenge is to control the risk and limit adverse consequences and I can support you to achieve these objectives.
