Chemical and downstream oil and gas facilities that fall under the Control of Major Accident Hazard (COMAH) Regulations are expected to carry out a programme of assessment on critical tasks (sometimes called SCTA or Qualitative HRA). There’s plenty of guidance that tells you what you need to do, but less on how you need to do it.
I am delighted to be delivering this masterclass at the CIEHF annual conference in April at Kenilworth with Pippa Brockington from Human Factors Expertise Ltd. Having been heavily involved in developing the CIEHF’s forthcoming guidance ‘Assessment Programmes for Critical Tasks on COMAH Establishments’, we will be delivering the top tips that we cover in the guidance. You’ll have the chance to practise key skills and to discuss solutions to many of the common problems facing human factors practitioners who work in this area.
