CIEHF Guidance for HRA

As part of a group of volunteers, I have recently been contributing to the development of the CIEHF guidance on Human Reliability Analysis (HRA). It is proving to be a fascinating experience and a great opportunity to have some in depth discussion with other Human Factors professionals.
It is not surprising that with such an experienced group there are a wide range of opinions. We are looking at all of the different aspects associated with HRA, including whether it should be called HRA (many people refer to the process as Safety Critical Task Analysis or SCTA)! . I don’t envy Pippa Brockington the task of trying to distil our long and involved conversations into clear and succinct guidance!

Hopefully, the guidance will be available later this year and I will provide an update when it is published.

The group is made up of Pippa Brockington,  Andy Brazier,  Jamie Henderson,  Paddy Kitching,  Michael Wright,  Mark Sujan, and  Mark Benton.
